能登半島地震被害の支援活動第二陣

AARジャパンと共同で開始した能登半島地震被害の支援活動第二陣初目終了しました。
東京を前日の9時に出発、関越道、上信越b道、能越道を通り、珠洲市の避難所に着いたのが朝の7時15分、4人で交代しながらのロングドライブでした。
今回のメンバーは、加藤、青山のレギュラーメンバーに加えてピース食堂でお手伝いいただいてる青山勝彦さん、そしてピースプロジェクトと熊本地震でボランティアとして出会い、数年の歳月を経た後、イングラムメンバーになってくれた内野友稀さんです（矢沢は少し遅れての参加者となります）。
着いた時の気温はマイナス6度！！
吐く息が真っ白な中で作業開始、それぞれがしっかり防寒着着込んでましたが、驚くほどの寒さでした。
朝から炊き出し準備をしていると、「えっ、今日から再開ですか？、何時に来ればいいんですか？」、「今日は何が食べられるの？」とか、「いない間ずっとカップ麺だったから嬉しい」と言った声をかけてもらえます。
『ここには私たちの居場所がある！！』
と実感しました。
さて、本日はランチは暖かい『きつねうどん』、夜は『豚汁とご飯』でした。
調理にはは避難されている中から選抜された『美女軍団』が今回もお手伝いいただきました。
2次避難が始まって避難所に避難している人数は減りましたが、近隣に在宅避難している人が食事のニーズや家を補修する為のブルーシートのニーズを受けていたので、買えるだけの物資を積んで届けました。
うどん提供時にはいつものように行列が出来て、楽しみにしていただいてる事がよく伝わってきます。
「やっぱり温かいもの食べられると元気になるよ」とか「ピースさんのご飯はいつも美味しいよ」と言ってもらえると、どんな忙しくても、眠くても“やりがい”を感じます。
本日の活動、一名が火傷してしまいましたが、無事終える事出来ました。

The first phase of the Western Earthquake support, which was started jointly with AAR Japan has ended.
We left Tokyo at 9 A.M. the day before, passed the Kanetsu, Joshinetsu and Notes Expressway and arrived safely at the evacuation center in Suzu City at 7:15 A.M. It was a long drive with four of us taking turns.
In addition to Kato and Aoyama’s regular members, the members this time were Katsuhiko Aoyama, who helps out at Peace Shokudo, and who met as a volunteer at the Peace Project and Kumamoto Earthquake, and after several years, became an Ingram member. This is Yuki Uchino (Yazawa will be joining us a little later).
The temperature was -6 degrees when we arrived! ! When I was preparing the soup kitchen in the morning, I often heard questions like, “Oh, are you restarting today?”, “What time should I come?”, “What can I eat today?”, and “I’m happy because I had cup noodles the whole time you were gone” Today we had warm “kitsune udon” for lunch, and “pork soup and rice” for dinner.
Although the number of people evacuating to evacuation centers has decreased since the second evacuation period began, there were people in the neighborhood who were evacuated to their homes who needed food and blue sheets to repair their homes, so they could buy them. We loaded and delivered the necessary supplies. As usual, when udon noodles are served, there was a line forming, which clearly shows that people are looking forward to the service. When we hear someone say, “I feel better when I eat something warm,” or “Peace’s food is always delicious,” no matter how busy or sleepy I am, we feel rewarded.
